Cedars Culture School

The first group of students that visited the center was from the Cedars Culture School. The group is composed of 37 students aged between 9 to 16 years old.  They arrived under the supervision of Ms. Rand Yehya, responsible of their program.  Some of them had seen documentary films concerning prevention of smoking and environment, and others had collected information and reports through books and Internet access to increase their knowledge on AIDS, blood types, smoking, biology, pollution, and other subjects.                                          More

 
Documentation Class - Lebanese University
On 12 January 2006, a group of 25 students from Lebanese University, documentation class visited the center. The mission was to view how the theoretical principal is achieved in a real library. They were introduced on the procedure used for health Classification, searching the database , using the internet resources, and the NHIC workflow.

 

Beirut Governmental University Hospital
On 21st February 2006, NHIC team visited Beirut Governmental University hospital.
In addition the team provided presentation on NHIC where 37 resident nurses attended. During the session, NHIC services were presented and discussion were made concerning the NHIC resources. Further cooperation will be made with BGUH by assisting the management in building their medical library.

Nutrition Class - Kaslik University
End of April 2006, two groups composed of 60 students from Kaslik University, visited the center. Two presentations were made, one defining WHO tasks in Lebanon and another one covering NHIC mission. Video tapes were presented  on
 "تحقيق اليوم: السمنة عند الأطفال" & "الحديد مهم لنعمل على تخفيف وطأة عوز الجديد - الآن".
At the end, the students used NHIC databases to retrieve information related to "Country National Plates"
